It depends on the policy you set. PrivateRack can run supported workloads locally and can be configured to restrict selected data and workloads from external AI services. In a hybrid setup, workloads you approve for cloud use send only the parts you allow to the approved provider.

Yes. The rack is your hardware. PrivateRack builds, installs, and manages it, but you own the equipment.

Yes. Your files and the knowledge index built from them are yours, kept on hardware you own.

Yes. Company Knowledge searches your approved business documents in plain language and gives source-backed answers, with retrieval that respects permissions so people see only what they are allowed to see.

No. PrivateRack handles the private AI infrastructure layer and works alongside your existing IT provider or managed service provider, not in place of them.

Local workloads run on your hardware and do not depend on an internet connection to answer. Some functions, such as remote management, updates, and any approved cloud AI, do use connectivity. What requires connectivity depends on your configuration.

No. Access is permission-aware and role-based. Employees see only the information they are allowed to see, and Company Knowledge answers respect those permissions.

Yes, through controlled workflows with human approval where appropriate. Automation follows a path from information to action, and a person approves the steps that matter. It is not an autonomous agent acting on its own.

Yes. Racks are assembled centrally, installed on-site by qualified local technicians, and provisioned and managed remotely.
